BTM is heading back to Egypt again in 2019 for our 3rd annual Egyptian Odyssey Tour. Join us as we relax and party at the luxurious Four Seasons in Cairo then spend four days cruising down the Nile River, stopping to visit many of Egypt’s most fascinating sites.
We’ll begin at the great pyramids for a truly surreal experience. You’ll visit the Egyptian museum, see King “Tut” Tutankhamun’s findings, have an opportunity to hot air balloon over the Valley of Kings at sunrise, visit the temples of Ramesses II and Nefertiti, and view mummified pharaohs and powerful nobles. When you’re not taking in the sights you’ll dine on a variety of Egypt’s finest culinary delights prepared by some of the greatest chefs in the region or just lounge by the pool on the upper deck.

Cairo
Day 1: Saturday, Sept. 21 – Arrival in Cairo
Your journey begins upon arrival in Cairo where you’ll be greeted at the airport and transported by private air-conditioned vehicle to the luxurious Four Seasons, where the rooms and suites are among the largest in the city and designed with elegance and relaxation in mind. Take the rest of the day to get acclimated or take advantage of the fabulous hotel amenities which includes the largest spa and wellness center in the city. It’s the perfect place to unwind after a long flight.
In the evening, we’ll meet up at a local restaurant for a welcome dinner.

Day 2: Sunday, Sept. 22 – Giza Pyramids and Sphinx
After breakfast at the hotel in Cairo, you’ll have an 8:30am meeting with your personal guide who will accompany you to Giza Plateau to visit one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren and Mykerinus, famous Sphinx, and Valley temple facing the great statue.
After a morning of sightseeing, we’ll have a delicious local lunch.

Day 3: Monday, Sept. 23 – Fly to Luxor / East Bank
After an early morning check-out from our hotel (05:00 am), you will be transported to Cairo International Airport for a flight to Luxor. A tour representative will be waiting at the Luxor airport to greet you. You will be transported by air-conditioned vehicle to the east bank of the Nile River and guided through a seamless check-in process aboard a luxury cruiser. After lunch, you’ll enjoy a visit to the impressive Karnak Temples before returning to the boat to eat dinner, enjoy nightcaps on the upper deck, and overnight in your well-appointed cabin.

Day 4: Tuesday, Sept. 24 – Luxor West Bank
After breakfast, you’ll take an excursion to the royal cemetery for 62 Pharaohs, Valley of the Kings, and mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, which was built by the architects of the New Kingdom Pharaoh Hatshepsut in the 15th century BC. Then you’ll head to the Colossi of Memnon. After lunch, you’ll cruise the Nile to Edfu. You’ll enjoy a leisurely dinner and overnight on the boat.

Day 5: Wednesday, Sept. 25 – Edfu / Kom Ombo
After breakfast, you’ll visit the well-preserved Ptolemaic Temple dedicated to Horus at Edfu then you’ll sail to Kom Ombo to see the unique Temple of Sobek, dedicated to Sobek the crocodile god, and Horus the falcon-headed god. As you have lunch on board, we’ll continue sailing to Aswan. That evening you’ll enjoy dinner and overnight on board your Nile River cruise.

Day 6: Thursday, Sept. 26 – Aswan Sightseeing
After breakfast, you’ll spend the day sightseeing in Aswan. Start with the High Dam and the largest known ancient obelisk located in the northern region of the stone quarries of ancient Egypt, the Unfinished Obelisk. Then proceed to the beautiful Temple of Philae, which is devoted to the two goddesses Isis and Hathor. Return to the boat for dinner and your final night in your cabin.

Day 7: Friday, Sept. 27 – Abu Simbel Tour, Return to Cairo
After an early breakfast and disembarkation, you’ll be greeted by a tour guide and transported by private air-conditioned vehicle to Abu Simbel. Its main attractions are the great sun temple of Ramses II and the temple of queen Nefertari. Ramses II built the sun temple to honor himself. Inside you’ll find a mural depicting his famous victory at Kadesh battle where his army defeated his enemies. The Nefertari Temple was built by Ramses II for Queen Nefertari, the favorite among his 200 wives and concubines. Following your visit, you will be transferred to Aswan Airport for a flight to Cairo where you will overnight back at the Four Seasons.

Great Sun Temple
Day 8: Saturday, Sept. 28
After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll meet your personal guide (09:30 am) for a trip to the to the Egyptian Museum, which hosts actual treasures from King Tutankhamen’s (Tut) tomb and displays a rare collection of over 250,000 rare artifacts. Visit the mummy’s room to view actual climate controlled mummies. Then have lunch at a local restaurant before returning to your hotel for your final night in Cairo.

Day 9: Sunday September 29 – Final Departure
After breakfast at the hotel you’ll be transferred to Cairo International Airport for your final departure.
